The Destroyer (Part Two): Jesus

The Destroyer (Part Two): Jesus

Jesus, The Destroyer

Hallelujah!!! The devil came to destroy and Jesus also came to destroy. Destruction meets destruction meets. It is interesting that so many of us believed Jesus came to bring peace to the world, maybe that he came to settle matters with the devil, he’s the prince of peace, after all, the Bible says in John 10:10 … I come That ye might have life and that they might have it in more abundantly.

You need to know there’s no peace without war, from Jesus Birth to His death it was war so that he can bring peace to you as a believer and not to the world or to the devil. I have always wondered what Jesus meant in Matthew 10:34 he said, think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I come not to send peace but sword. Seriously, Jesus came to send the sword to the earth, he brought war to the world. The devil couldn’t precisely discern the ultimate plan of God because God’s plan was foolish 1 Corinthians 1:18 (the devil knew that God is the only wise God, so he was waiting for a brilliant plan of God. 1 Corinthians 1:25-31), but he knew God had a plan and he (the devil) was successfully supplying the ingredients to God’s plan.

Jesus in the business of destroying

Jesus began warfare by prophesy – the word of God that was written concerning him. Luke 4:18-21

18“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me
to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” 20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Imagine the drama. I assume the devil was in his toes, Fire is building , the devil immediately needed to strike back 21,28-30.

22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?” 28 So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30 Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.

I love the drama😀hallelujah, Jesus gave a manifesto announcing his destruction agenda. This was what Apostle John was said in 1 John 3:8

for this purpose is the son of God made manifest to destroy the works of the devil.

How did Jesus destroy?

John 10:10 says

... I have come that they might have life

The divine plan of God for Jesus to destroy the works of the devil is for you to live. The revealing or manifestation of Jesus’ destruction of the works of the devil is to give you life. This first Jesus destroyed was death, he destroyed death by giving you life.

How do you have Life?

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

You have life by confessing your sins and believe Jesus as your lord and savor. When you do that you have the power of death, you have received deliverance from the killer.

Many Christians stopped at this junction, they have life, they have victory over death, but the coming of our Lord Jesus was not just for you to have a life but to have life more abundantly.

Ige john
